Ramayana Teaser Out: The first teaser of Ranbir Kapoor’s most-awaited movie, Ramayana, was finally released on Thursday morning. The teaser of Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial unveils Ranbir Kapoor’s looks
as lord Ram and marks an important moment as the timeless epic is presented to a global audience. However, the teaser has also left a large section of the audience disappointed, who are now comparing it to Prabhas’ flop film – Adipurush – which was also an adaptation of the Hindu mythological epic.
Soon after the teaser was released, several social media users took to their respective X handles and criticised the VFXs of the film. While some claimed that ‘Adipurush looks better’ after watching the Ramayana teaser, others slammed the makers and asked if they would be able to do justice to the Ramayana.
“Even Adipurush feels better than this #Ramayana glimpse tbh,” one of the users wrote on X. Another user called Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Adipurush 2.0’. “If it works, it can restore faith. If it fail people might stop trusting Bollywood completely. Adipurush vs Ramayana 🔥 This time, audience won’t forgive easily,” a third user shared. Check out some of the posts here:

#Ramayana – When Adipurush released with Prabhas, it faced huge backlash and boycott. Still, it made around 350+ crore in just 3 days… but money isn’t everything.

What Happened When Adipurush Was Released?
Adipurush was released on June 16, 2023. The film is based on the Hindu mythological epic Ramayana. However, following its release, the film faced immense backlash from the audience for allegedly distorting the epic. People expressed disappointment with the film’s dialogue and portrayal of Ravana and Lord Hanuman. Even though the makers changed the infamous ‘kapda tere baap ka’ dialogue, it made no impact. A plea in the Supreme Court was also filed seeking revocation of the CBFC certification of the Om Raut directorial. However, it was rejected by the top court.
