Mumbai Indians take on Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday in a clash of the bottom-paced sides in the IPL 2026. Both sides have had forgettable seasons with MI placed 9th
in the table with just 4 points from 9 outings, while LSG are placed further behind in the last spot with 4 points too but having played a game fewer than MI.
MI suffered a massive embarrassment against arch-rivals CSK in their previous outing and will look to notch up their third win at the cost of LSG, who have also had to endure a woeful campaign.
Hardik Pandya
The skipper, who enjoyed massive success with MI during his first stint and followed it up with success at Gujarat Titans as the skipper, has had to endure incredible lows since his return to the five-time champions. The season hasn’t;t gone to plan but the star all-rounder will look to salvage some pride vs LSG.
Jasprit Bumrah
The star Indian seamer, who had struggled to get on to the list of wicket-takers early in the season, bounced back with a scalp each in his previous three outings. His showing with the leather have the propensity to take the game away from the opposition and the veteran will look to continue his streak of wickets.
Ashwani Kumar
The youngster shone bright in the limited number of wins MI have logged this season and the 24-year-old will look to impress with the ball yet again against a top-heavy LSG batting order.
Rishabh Pant
The LSG skipper will look to lead the side from the front and help the side experience a turn of fortunes from the chaos they find themselves in. He had to endure a gut-wrenching defeat to KKR in super over.
Mohsin Khan
LSG’s bowling unit has been their strength this season with pacers including Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan have done most of the heavy lifting this campaign, and will hope to replicate his showing from his fifer vs KKR against MI.
Mitch Marsh
LSG are heavily dependent on their top-3 for the bulk of their runs as the pinch-hitting Australian will look to turn up against MI. Marsh popped up with a half-century, that ultimately went in vain against RR, and will look to lead the batting order yet against the joint-most successful side in the history of the tournament.
