Jaipur, Jun 1 (PTI) Several parts of Rajasthan received light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over the past 24 hours under the influence of a western disturbance, officials said on Monday.
According to the Met department, parts of eastern Rajasthan witnessed light to moderate rain and thunderstorms, while isolated places in the western region recorded light showers.
Railmagra in Rajsamand district recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 23mm during the 24 hour period ending Monday morning.
Meanwhile, Barmer remained the hottest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, while Fatehpur recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 20.8 degrees Celsius.
The rainfall has brought relief from the prevailing heat in some areas.
The Met department has forecast that thunderstorm and rain activity is likely to continue in parts of the state during the week. PTI SDA MDO MDO MDO
