Karisma Kapoor’s children are currently fighting a case against their stepmother, Priya Sachdev, to demand a share in the assets of their late father, Sunjay Kapur. While both parties made several strong
statements and allegations against each other in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday (September 10), do you know how Karisma is dealing with the controversy?
An insider has revealed that Karisma is focusing on her professional life amid Sunjay Kapur’s inheritance drama. “At the moment, Karisma is in Mumbai and totally focused on her work. She is not letting the controversy surrounding her ex-husband Sunjay Kapur’s estate impact her professional life,” a source cited by Hindustan Times claimed.
“Karisma is fulfilling her professional commitment as usual. She is shooting for several projects. She was recently seen in Super Dancer Chapter 5 as a special guest, and even travelled for an event. And she intends to continue to do that. Because the show must go on,” the insider added.
While Karisma is not directly involved in the legal battle, she is representing her children, Samaira and Kiaan. The two moved to the Delhi High Court earlier this week to demand a share in the assets of their late father. In their petition, the two children claimed that their stepmother, Priya Sachdev, forged Sunjay’s will. They submitted that the purported will allegedly executed by their father is not a legal and valid document, is forged and fabricated.
They argued that it is because of this reason that neither the original of the Alleged Purported Will has been shown to them nor a copy of the Alleged Purported Will has been provided. The children, therefore, requested the court to provide them with a copy of the said document.
Hearing the plea on Wednesday, September 10, the High Court asked Priya to declare all assets of Sunjay Kapur. The next hearing will take place on October 10.
