About Ranveer Singh’s Upcoming Film Pralay
Titled Pralay, Ranveer Singh’s next film is a full-fledged post-apocalyptic zombie survival thriller, promising chaos, destruction, and a cinematic world Indian audiences have not seen before. Directed by debutant filmmaker Jai Mehta, son of acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta, the project has already generated strong buzz as one of Bollywood’s most anticipated upcoming films.
Backed by Hansal Mehta’s True Story Films, Ranveer Singh’s own production banner Maa Kasam Films, and Applause Entertainment, Pralay aims to deliver a large-scale cinematic experience blending spectacle, survival, and horror.
The project is said to be mounted on an estimated budget of around ₹300 crore, with an international technical team reportedly involved to build its expansive zombie universe on a grand scale. The screenplay has been penned by Jai Mehta in collaboration with Vishal Kapoor, who is known for Lootere.
Meanwhile, reports also suggest that Kalyani Priyadarshan may be roped in as the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh. If confirmed, the film would mark her Bollywood debut following the success of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.
