Kajol marked Father’s Day with an emotional tribute as she shared a rare throwback picture of her parents along with a heartfelt message. The actress took to social media to post the unseen photograph,
giving fans a glimpse into a memory while expressing how deeply she continues to miss him.
Kajol shares a rare photo of her parents on Father’s Day and wrote, “Looking at old pictures and realizing how much of you is still alive in my laugh. Miss you every single day”. Immediately, fans reacted with heart emojis. One of the fans wrote, “You look like the perfect mix of both.” Another wrote, “Beautiful memories.”

For those who do not know, Shomu Mukherjee was a director, writer, and producer, known for his work in movies such as “Ek Bar Mooskura Do”, “Nanha Shikari”, “Chhailla Babu”, “Fiffty Fiffty”, “Lover Boy”, “Pathar Ke Insan”, and “Sangdil Sanam”. While making “Ek Baar Muskura Do”, he met actress Tanuja, and the two eventually fell in love. They finally tied the knot in 1973. The couple has two daughters, actresses Kajol and Tanisha. However, Shomu Mukherjee passed away on 10 April 2008 after suffering a heart attack. He was 64 at the time. Kajol keeps remembering her late father through her social media posts.
Kajol on the Work Front
Kajol was last seen appearing in the action-thriller film Sarzameen. Directed by Kayoze Irani, the film is set in Kashmir and follows an Indian Army officer who discovers his estranged son has joined a militant group. Alongside Kajol, the film also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the lead roles.
Up next, Kajol is all set to appear in another action-thriller film titled Maharagni: Queen of Queens. Directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati, the film stars Kajol in the titular role. Other stars of the film include Prabhu Deva, Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha, Jisshu Sengupta, Aditya Seal, Pramod Pathak, and Chhaya Kadam, among others.
The film marks Kajol and Prabhu Deva’s reunion after nearly two decades. They last appeared together in the 1997 Tamil film Minsara Kanavu. The release date of Maharagni: Queen of Queens still remains under wraps.
