Bihar has potentially recorded a historic voter turnout of 67.14 percent in the second and final phase of the high-stakes assembly elections, voting for which ended at 6 pm on Tuesday.

This was the turnout

for the second phase as recorded by the Election Commission of India (ECI) at 5 pm. The average of the two polling phases will be declared later. But the second phase alone recorded a higher voter turnout, shattering the record of 64.6 percent in the 1998 election.
