Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal are reshooting some of the crucial scenes of their upcoming movie, Love and War. If a report by IANS is to be believed, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial,
which was expected to hit cinemas by August this year, might be getting pushed because some of the crucial scenes from the film are being reshot. Reportedly, this is being done because Bhansali is looking for perfection in his movie.
The insider also revealed that since some important scenes are being reshot, this has also led to a spike in the film’s budget. It is also believed that all the rework has led to an indefinite delay in the release of the movie. For now, Love and War’s release date isn’t known.
Love and War has become one of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s costliest projects. Sources close to the production previously revealed to Pinkvilla that one of the primary reasons behind the delay is the sheer scale of Love and War. The film reportedly features expansive aerial action sequences that require heavy visual effects work. Given the complexity of these scenes, the VFX process is expected to be time-consuming.
Previously, during an Instagram live session, Ranbir Kapoor confirmed that Love and War has been delayed. He confirmed that the film will be released after Ramayana Part One, which is slated to hit the screens in October.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt had also expressed her excitement about the movie in an old interview with News18 Showsha. “I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate, again, after so many years. I am like, ‘wow, what’s that going to be like?” Talking about reuniting with Vicky Kaushal, Alia continued by saying, “Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations,” she had said.
