Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged the citizens to contribute spontaneously as the nation gears up to celebrate the completion of 150 years of the national song, ‘Vande Mataram,’ on November
7.
Addressing the 127th episode of his radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Modi recalled that the iconic song was first sung by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896 and emphasized the importance of embracing its spirit in nation-building.
The Prime Minister urged citizens to actively participate in the various events planned for the occasion and encouraged everyone to contribute spontaneously to honor the legacy and glory of Vande Mataram.
Further, in a post on X, PM Modi expressed that ‘Vande Mataram’ evokes immense emotion and a deep sense of pride in the hearts of every Indian. Sharing this message under the hashtag #MannKiBaat, he highlighted the enduring significance of the patriotic song in uniting the nation and inspiring a spirit of devotion and commitment toward the country.
