Another possibility being speculated is TVK joining hands with Congress and independent candidates to form a government. The Congress has already sent feelers to the Jana Nayagan star Vijay, and Rahul Gandhi also spoke to him after TVK’s stunning performance.
With TVK having 108 seats and Congress having five seats, the single-largest party will still need the support of other regional parties and independent candidates to touch the majority mark.
During the vote counting, as results started coming in favour of TVK, the party said that they would form the government on their own.

Amid all the speculations, TVK’s Vijay has written to the state governor, Rajendra Arlekar and sought an invitation to form the government.
Vijay has staked a claim to power and urged the Governor to invite him to take the oath.
Vijays Says Will Prove Majority In Two Weeks
According to the sources, the letter was sent to Raj Bhavan via email. In the letter, he has stated that the party will prove its majority within two weeks.
As of today, Vijay is expected to meet the winning candidates at the TVK office at around 11 am, as per sources.
