Star Australia pacer Mitchell Starc was seen at the DY Patil Stadium, supporting his wife, Alyssa Healy and her team as they take on hosts India in the semifinal of the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup on Thursday.
Notably, Starc has made it a point to attend all of Healy’s knockouts unless he, too, is involved in a match.
Starc was recently seen in action in the three-match ODI series against India, where he picked three wickets in as many games. With the star bowler having retired from T20Is, his next assignment is the coveted Ashes, which starts on November 21 at the Optus Stadium.
Starc and Healy got engaged a decade ago and married in April 2016. The duo are the only third married couple to play Tests, after the English couple the Prideauxs (Roger and Ruth), in the 1950s to 1970 and the Sri Lankan de Alwis couple (Guy and Rasanjali), in the 1980s and 1990s.

In March 2020, Starc flew home ahead of the final ODI game against South Africa, so he could watch Healy play in the final of the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, where they took on India and beat them in front of a record crowd in Melbourne.
Although Starc would have wanted to celebrate a classic Healy knock, the latter departed early. Rookie Kranti Gaud bowled a nip-backer and Healy dragged it onto her stumps, ending her knock at just five runs, scored off 15 deliveries.
At the time of writing, Ellyse Perry and Phoebe Litchfield have built a 50-run partnership for the second wicket, with the Indian bowlers looking for a breakthrough.
Australia are the defending champions and are the favourites to win the title yet again.
