In a key breakthrough following the October 18 shooting incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff, law enforcement agencies have apprehended 22-year-old engineering graduate Pranjal Thakran from
Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. The operation was jointly executed by the Mumbai Crime Branch and the local Indore Crime Branch in the Pardesipura area, taking the total number of arrests in the high-profile case to 11.
Thakran, a resident of Haryana’s Sonipat district, had arrived in Indore five days prior under the pretext of seeking medical treatment for his paralysed brother.
Logistical Support and Syndicate Network Under Scrutiny
Investigating agencies suspect that Thakran played a vital operational role in providing logistical support, managing communication channels, and helping coordinate resources for the shooters involved in the Juhu attack. Preliminary findings suggest that the accused was in direct touch with key facilitators linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi criminal network.
Sources indicate that seven of the 11 individuals arrested so far trace their origins to Haryana’s Sonipat, signalling a concentrated syndicate cluster supplying weapons, surveillance data, and tactical back-end support for high-target operations.
Major Arms Seizure Executed in Surat Hideout
The arrest in Indore comes just twenty-four hours after the Mumbai Crime Branch raided a clandestine hideout in Gujarat’s Surat, recovering two firearms along with ten live cartridges. Investigators believe these weapons are tied to the procurement chain deployed for the Mumbai assault.
The seized armaments and live rounds have been dispatched for forensic and ballistic evaluation to confirm whether they match empty shell casings collected from the Juhu crime scene. Police are currently interrogating another accused, Jatin, who allegedly oversaw the transport and distribution of weapons across state lines.
Real-Time Tracking and Expanded Security Protocols
During cross-examinations, investigators uncovered that the fleeing assailants were continuously updating their escape routes by monitoring real-time news broadcasts and receiving operational inputs from overseas handlers via encrypted channels.
With evidence indicating that the syndicate had also conducted preliminary reconnaissance around other prominent film personalities’ residences in Bandra, security cover for key Mumbai figures remains heightened while inter-state teams continue raids across Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
