Anthropic has launched a new suite of AI-powered finance agents aimed at helping banks, asset managers, insurers, and analysts automate time-consuming tasks such as preparing pitchbooks, reviewing earnings,
screening KYC files, and closing month-end accounts.
The company said it is releasing 10 ready-to-use agent templates that can work across tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook through dedicated Microsoft 365 add-ins.

How can finance professionals use them?
According to Anthropic, the tools can directly work inside Excel and PowerPoint. For example, an analyst can build a financial model in Excel and automatically generate a presentation deck in PowerPoint without manually re-entering data.
The AI can also help users draft emails in Outlook, edit documents in Word, and analyse market research using connected financial databases.
What problem does it solve?
Financial firms often spend long hours on repetitive work such as document reviews, data entry, reconciliations, and compliance checks. Anthropic says these agents are designed to reduce manual effort, speed up workflows, and improve productivity while keeping humans involved in final approvals.
The company has also expanded integrations with financial data providers such as FactSet, Morningstar, MSCI, and Moody’s to give the AI access to real-time financial information.
