Taking to his Instagram stories, R Madhavan shared the trailer and wrote, “What an awesome and brilliant little champ. You ve got to see this trailer guys.” Rakul Preet Singh wrote, “wowww what a killed…Trailer…#vadh2 looks double the thrill….cannot wait for 6th Feb..@iamsanjaymishra @neenagupta are absolute fire…gooodd luck to the entire team.”

Vadh 2 Trailer Out
The trailer underscores performances marked by gravitas and authenticity, anchoring the film’s emotional intensity. Alongside Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, Vadh 2, produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg’s Luv Films, also features an expanded ensemble cast, including Kumud Mishra, Shilpa Shukla and new actors including Amitt K Singh, Akshay Dogra and Yogita Bihani.
Talking about the film, writer and director Jaspal Singh Sandhu says, “Vadh 2 is conceived to deliver an experience of a rich narrative driven by well defined characters. We’ve pushed the envelope, taking the storytelling a notch higher to give the audience a layered thriller–mystery. The trailer offers a glimpse into this morally complex world of Vadh 2, where truth is not clearly defined.”
Producer Luv Ranjan says, “Vadh 2 takes forward the philosophy and emotional depth of the first film with a completely new story. What makes it special is that the franchise is led by remarkable senior actors- Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, and joining them is Kumud Mishra and together their powerful screen presence reinforces our belief that strong stories transcend age and convention.”
A Luv Films presentation, Vadh 2 is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film is slated to release in cinemas on 6th February 2026.
Madhavan Reacts To His Padma Shri Honour
Madhavan shared a note on Instagram, and said that this honour is beyond his wildest dreams. “THANK YOU ALL SO VERY VERY MUCH! I accept the Padma Shri with profound gratitude and humility. This honour, bestowed upon me, is beyond my wildest dreams, and I receive it on behalf of my entire family, whose constant support and faith have been my greatest strength.
This recognition is possible only because of the blessings of my mentors, the goodwill of my well-wishers, the love and encouragement of the public, and above all, the grace of the Almighty. Each of them has played an invaluable role in shaping my journey and guiding me toward this moment,” he wrote.
He further stated that he views this award as a responsibility and promised to carry the honour with dignity, sincerity, and a deep sense of commitment to the values it represents. “My heart is filled with gratitude for this extraordinary endorsement and validation, and I hope to continue serving with integrity, humility, and dedication in the years to come. (I am overwhelmed with all your love and messages. Please allow me some time to get back to all of you),” he wrote.
On the professional front, R. Madhavan was recently seen in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar, which created havoc at the box office. He will next be seen in Dhurandhar 2, which will release on 19th March. Before Dhurandhar, Madhavan was seen in ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
