“It’s always good to have a total on the board and then try to chase it down,” Gil said after winning the toss.
“Every two points is very crucial and I think in the first couple of matches, the kind of situation that we were in, the matches went down to the wire. And obviously, having two points in the last match gave us a sigh of relief.”
“And hopefully, we are looking to play better cricket so that the match doesn’t always go till the last over. I think we’ve had a tremendous run, to be honest. Consistency is one thing that we always talk about, and for me, it’s the most important factor that a team can have,” he added.
Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, fielded an unchanged XI from their previous fixture against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
“In the last match we played, we talked about intent on the field. We always talk about that as a team, and that was great to see when we were on the field, we were putting bodies on the line. We are playing with the same team,” said Pant.
LSG vs GT – Head-to-Head Record
Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants have met seven times in IPL history, with Gujarat holding a slight edge. They have emerged victorious in four of those encounters, while Lucknow have won three.
