Veteran Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty visited the renowned Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Wednesday to seek the blessings of Baba Mahakal. He offered prayers from the doorway of the sanctum sanctorum
and later performed a traditional Shiva puja while seated in the Nandi Hall. The rituals were conducted by temple priest Ashish Guru.
After completing the darshan, the Mahakal Temple Committee honoured Suniel Shetty by presenting him with a ceremonial dupatta and prasad. The actor appeared calm and spiritual during his temple visit.
Prayers for Family’s Health and Togetherness
Speaking to the media after the darshan, Suniel Shetty said that good health and family unity are the biggest blessings in life. He shared that he came to Baba Mahakal seeking peace, happiness and well-being for his entire family.
He added that faith plays an important role in keeping him grounded, especially during important phases of life and career.
Special Blessings for Ahan Shetty and Athiya Shetty
Suniel Shetty revealed that this visit was particularly meaningful as he offered special prayers for his children’s professional success. He prayed for his son Ahan Shetty’s upcoming film Border 2, which is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23.
He also prayed for his daughter Athiya Shetty, who is actively involved in films as a producer and writer. The actor expressed hope that her work receives appreciation and love from audiences.
Suniel Shetty further noted that a film’s success supports the livelihood of many people, which is why he prayed for the well-being of the entire film industry.
Ahan Shetty Calls Sunny Deol a ‘Father Figure’
Meanwhile, Border 2 has been creating strong buzz ahead of its release. Ahan Shetty, who plays a key role in the film, recently opened up about working with Sunny Deol. In an interview with ANI, he described the veteran actor as a “father figure” and said the respect he holds for him comes from his father Suniel Shetty’s deep admiration.
Ahan also shared how watching Border as a child inspired his love for the Indian Army and later shaped his dream of becoming an actor.
