Mumbai police officers are checking CCTV footages of Kapil Sharma’s building to ensure the comedian’s security. Reportedly, police officials are now on alert and are assessing the threat to the actor’s life.
Threat To Kapil Sharma? Crime Branch Steps Into Action
After the first firing incident, the Crime Branch questioned Kapil Sharma to ascertain whether he had ever received any threats or extortion calls from the gang. Kapil Sharma responded that he had not encountered anything of the sort. Following this second incident, the Crime Branch will question Kapil Sharma again and inquire about the claims made in social media posts. Additionally, the Crime Branch has initiated an investigation to determine if individuals associated with this gang have ever conducted reconnaissance around Kapil Sharma’s house or the shooting set.
What Happened At Kapil Sharma’s Canada Cafe?
Shots were fired at comedian and actor Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada on Thursday morning, the second such incident in a month. Kap’s Café, located in Surrey, British Columbia, is owned by comedian Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath. A purported video of the attack surfaced on social media in which at least 25 gunshots were heard.
The cafe came under a similar attack on July 10, which authorities believe was orchestrated by the Laddi gang linked to the banned Khalistani terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
Who Attacked Kapil Sharma’s Canada Cafe?
Goldy Dhillon of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has allegedly claimed responsibility for the shooting at comedian Kapil Sharma’s cafe. A Facebook post has surfaced on social media in which Dhillon is seen admitting the gang’s role behind attacks at Kapil Sharma’s cafe and sending a stern warning to the comedian.
“JAI SHRI RAM, Satshriakal ram sare bhaiyo ko aj jo y kapil sharma k kaps cafe..Surrey m firing hui iski jimevari, Goldy dhillon, Lawrence bishnoi gang lete h isko hamne call ki thi isko ring nhi Sunai di to karwai krni pdi ab b ring n sunegi to next karwai jaldi hi Mumbai krege”(sic) the post read.
However, the Mumbai police is still verifying the authenticity of the Facebook post.
When Kapil Sharma Reacted To The Attack At His Cafe
Last week, Kapil Sharma, in a collaborative post with his wife, Ginni, shared a video of officials visiting his café as they enjoyed a peaceful meal. However, what caught everyone’s attention was the caption of the post, in which Kapil made it clear that they do not support any sort of violence.
“Thank you Mayor Brenda Locke, @surreypoliceservice and all the officials who visited @thekapscafe_ to show their love and support. United we stand against violence. We’re truly grateful,” the comedian wrote.
