Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated their historic second Women’s Premier League title by taking over the dance floor in a late-night party.
In a video shared by the franchise’s social media channels,
the team bus became the first party venue on the team’s way to their hotel, with singing and dancing. At the hotel, the team received a guard of honor from the hotel staff, who held cricket bats high in the air to make a corridor for the players to go through.
Dhols and drinks were brought into the party hall as the dancing went up a level. In one of the scenes, spinner Shreyanka Patil was seen jumping at batter Grace Harris!

Asked to bat first, Delhi Capitals overcame a slow start to post an imposing 203 for four. Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt steadied the innings before Jemimah Rodrigues took charge with a fluent 57 off 37 balls. Chinelle Henry provided the late surge, smashing 35 off just 15 deliveries to give DC strong momentum at the close.
Chasing a record target, RCB lost Grace Harris early, but captain Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll seized control. The pair dominated the attack with a blistering 165-run stand, keeping the chase on track throughout. Mandhana was sublime in her 87 off 41 balls, reaching her fifty in just 23 deliveries, while Voll complemented her perfectly with a powerful 79 off 54.
Even after Voll’s dismissal, RCB stayed composed and completed the chase with two balls to spare, joining the Mumbai Indians as the most successful team in WPL history, while DC endured a fourth-consecutive heartbreak in the final.
In the video, there was a glimpse of RCB’s fans crowding the team bus. However, unfortunately, the franchise is unlikely to celebrate the title with its loyal fanbase this year because of the tragedy that unfolded last year, with 11 deaths in a stampede during the men’s team’s IPL victory parade.
