Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan starrer ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand, is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. Last year, English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran confirmed that he has
sung a Hindi song for Shah Rukh Khan’s film, and while he didn’t name the movie, fans speculated whether it’s for King. Now, music composer Anirudh Ravichander has reacted to the speculations about Ed Sheeran being part of King soundtrack, and teased that it ‘may happen’.
Anirudh Reveals Whether Ed Sheeran Is Part Of Shah Rukh Khan’s King Soundtrack
In a conversation with Bombay Times, Anirudh was asked whether Ed Sheeran is part of King soundtrack. He replied that discussions haven’t progressed, and it hasn’t been executed yet. “That was just an idea. It hasn’t been executed yet. But it may happen… either that or something big is on the cards,” he said.
Meanwhile, speaking about King, Anirudh said that Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh have worked a lot on the film. “Sir makes sure that you don’t feel the pressure. We just want to celebrate him. We want to make sure that he gets the best. Sid (Sidharth Anand, director) and he have worked a lot on the film. So hopefully, whenever it’s out this year, it’s another memorable time for us,” he said.
When Ed Sheeran Confirmed Hindi Song For Shah Rukh Khan Film
In June last year, Ed Sheeran officially confirmed recording a Hindi song for a Shah Rukh Khan film. He gave fans a peek behind the scenes of Sapphire shoot through a BTS video. In the clip, he can be seen having fun with the crew, attempting Punjabi lyrics, and talking about how the Shah Rukh cameo in the video came to be.
Reacting to the post in the comments, Ed dropped a major update, “The Hindi song was for a Bollywood movie SRK is doing, this is the Punjabi version of Sapphire with Arijit. I’m just doing all languages at this point.” However, Ed didn’t specifically mention which Bollywood film.
