Akshay Kumar has a playful twist up his sleeve. Adding a generous dose of humour to the celebrations, the Housefull actor marked the occasion with a surprise birthday video that quickly caught everyone’s attention.
Taking to Instagram, Akshay shared a hilarious clip of himself seated on a wooden rocking horse as he wished the veteran director. “Many, many happy returns of the day, Priyan sir. You are turning 69, a great age sir, great age and lots of love and luck and great films and sir good health,” he said, before teasing viewers with a twist.
Akshay Kumar’s Birthday Surprise For Priyadarshan
“Also a friend of mine wants to wish you, sir,” Akshay added. Much to everyone’s surprise, actress Vidya Balan pops out of a toy house. In a playful voice, he wishes the director, saying, “Happy birthday, Priyan sir and all the best for Bhoot Bangla.” Vidya has worked with Priyadarshan and Akshay in the first instalment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa in 2007.

What We Know About Bhooth Bangla?
The upcoming comedy-horror film brings back the iconic trio of Priyadarshan, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. Bhooth Bangla will also see Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav and Mithila Palkar in crucial roles, along with others. The Priyadarshan’s directorial has been backed by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms in collaboration with Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films.
It is co-produced by Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali and the screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. The dialogues, on the other hand, have been penned by Rohan Shankar. Written by Akash A Kaushik, Bhooth Bangla is slated for a theatrical release on May 15.

Vidya Balan was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film starred her alongside Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, and Madhuri Dixit. The actress is yet to announce her next project.
