New Delhi, Sep 3 (PTI) President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday greeted citizens on the eve of Janmashtami and asked all to follow the ideals of Lord Krishna and continue working tirelessly towards building
an inclusive and developed India.
The life and teachings of Lord Krishna breathe new life into Indian cultural and philosophical heritage, she said in a message.
Lord Krishna showed the path of truth, righteousness, justice, compassion and selfless service, the president said.
“On this auspicious occasion, let us resolve to follow the ideals of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and continue working tirelessly towards building an inclusive and developed India,” she said.
His teachings, embodied in the Bhagavad Gita, remain an eternal source of inspiration for humanity to make prudent decisions during difficult times and to remain steadfast in moral values, President Murmu said.
“The sacred festival of Janmashtami inspires us to uphold the spirit of harmony and devotion to duty and service,” she said.
