R Madhavan is one of the most loved actors in the industry, and he never shies away from calling out what is wrong. Recently, he took to Instagram and shared that he had sent a legal notice to a healthcare
brand for using his name and an interview clip of him to advertise their brand.
Maddy, while sharing the post on his Instagram, wrote, “What a shame. How do these people and organisations think they can get away with this? You cannot take a clip of somebody’s interview and make it part of your endorsement. Legal notice sent. Please ‼️BEWARE‼️ of these kinds of professionals and organisations (sic).”
R Madhavan further continued and, while alerting his fans, called the advertisement ‘fraud’. He wrote, “This REEL is making it sound like I’m endorsing their product. They have just taken a clip from an interview without any permissions and used it as an endorsement from my end. How are the public ever going to believe these people or their treatment? !!!! Shame (sic).”

The now-deleted reel from the brand’s account showed a clip from one of his interviews being used to endorse the brand. There was also a man claiming to be a doctor, who was seen talking about Maddy’s transformation.

On the work front, R Madhavan was seen in Kesari 2, De De Pyaar De 2, and Dhurandhar last year. In 2026, he reprised his role of Ajay Sanyal in Dhurandhar 2. The movie went on to become a massive success.
