The makers took to social media to confirm that the film will be directed by Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy. Along with the announcement, Dhanush’s photo, along with team, was also shared. Ramayana Part I is slated for a theatrical release this Diwali. The film is a retelling of the revered Hindu epic and is based on Valmiki’s Ramayan.
