Okay, let’s be honest… Dhurandhar 2 is that one film right now. The kind people are watching, rewatching, discussing in WhatsApp groups, and casually spoiling for others (please don’t). But while fans
are busy decoding twists and picking favourite scenes, there’s another question quietly doing the rounds: kitna paisa mila?
And that’s where things get interesting.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the sequel has opened to a strong response at the box office. The film reportedly collected around Rs 24 crore on Day 1, with its total touching nearly Rs 75 crore including previews. With close to 9,000 shows running across the country, the film has clearly found its audience early, and trade experts expect the numbers to grow over the weekend.

The pressure on this sequel was always going to be massive. After all, the first Dhurandhar turned into a phenomenon, reportedly earning around Rs 1,300 crore worldwide and becoming the biggest film of 2025. So naturally, expectations from Part 2 are sky-high… and so far, it seems to be holding its ground.
But amid the box office chatter, reports about the cast’s fees have taken over conversations, mainly because they don’t quite follow the usual “bigger sequel, bigger paycheck” formula.
If reports are to be believed, Ranveer Singh has stuck to his Rs 50 crore fee for the sequel, the same amount he was paid for the first film. For a star leading one of the biggest franchises in recent times, not opting for a hike has definitely raised a few eyebrows.

Then comes the twist in the tale. Akshaye Khanna, who had a brief but impactful role in the first film, is reportedly being paid Rs 2.5 crore for his cameo in Dhurandhar 2. What’s surprising is the comparison… Arjun Rampal, who plays the antagonist, is said to be earning around Rs 1 crore. On paper, this makes Khanna’s short appearance far more valuable in terms of pay.
The rest of the cast also comes with hefty numbers. Sanjay Dutt is reportedly charging Rs 10 crore, while R Madhavan is said to have received Rs 9 crore. Sara Arjun, who is expected to have a significant role this time, has a reported fee of around Rs 1 crore. Interestingly, all these figures are believed to be largely unchanged from the first instalment.
One theory suggests that the cast may have signed a two-part deal from the start, locking in their remuneration across both films. Another possibility is that these numbers are simply based on earlier reported salaries and may not reflect the final agreements.
