Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the most loved off-screen couple of Bollywood, repeatedly turned down scripts that have them together on screen, and this is hurting the Saifeena fans. Now, in a recent
conversation, Saif has revealed the reason behind why they keep avoiding working together and also revealed if we can ever see them in a film as a couple or not.
While speaking to Variety India, Saif Ali Khan cited comfort as a big reason behind him and Kareena not working together and shared that he believes, “discomfort and conflict leads to good chemistry,” and added, “Comfort and ease; especially if I’m more worried about her comfort, that’s not a good way to act.”
Revealing how he feels about casting real-life couples, Saif said, “I’ve always felt it’s very easy to offer something boring. There’s nothing as boring as a nice off-screen couple coming on screen together,” but that doesn’t mean working together is completely off the charts for them.
While referring to hit Netflix ‘Murder Mystery’ franchise, Saif shared, “I keep thinking of that murder mystery which I saw Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler do,” and continued, “Husband and wife rekindling the excitement in their marriage through a murder mystery… that was kind of fun. So maybe there’s something out there like that.”
Saif Ali Khan further reflected on the possibility of collaborating with his wife in the future, saying that while any such project would need to be approached with great caution to ensure they avoid past pitfalls, he has immense respect for her talent. He added that working with her would be an “honour” and concluded, saying, “She’s a phenomenal actor and a phenomenal presence.”
