Despite receiving several film offers and lucrative paychecks after Stree 2, the actress decided to wait until she found a story she truly connected with. She will next be seen in Laxman Utekar’s ‘Eetha’, over 2 years after her last film. In a recent AMA session on Instagram, Shraddha revealed why she didn’t sign films despite the massive success of Stree 2.
Shraddha Kapoor Recalls Being Offered Many Films After Stree 2
During an AMA session on Instagram, a fan asked Shraddha, “Any advice for young girls who are trying to navigate their careers in the best way?” The actress replied, “Toh main mere baare mein share karti hu. Stree 2 ke baad mujhe bohot films offer hui thi. Bohot paise bhi offer hue. Lekin maine decide kar liya tha jab tak mujhe wo perfect kahaani nahi milti na, main kuch sign nahi karne wali hu. (Let me share my own experience. After Stree 2, I was offered a lot of films and some very good money too. But I had decided that I wouldn’t sign anything until I found the right story).”

For Shraddha, it was more about finding the right script than simply adding another film to her lineup. She knew that waiting wouldn’t always be easy, especially when there were exciting offers on the table, but she wanted to stick to her decision.
“Toh mere dil ne kaha ki patience mujhe rakhna padega. Aur maine wo kiya. (. My heart told me that I needed to be patient, and that’s exactly what I did),” the actress continues.
‘I Feel Proud That I Decided To Wait’, Says Shraddha Kapoor
The actress admitted that waiting for something you really want can get difficult at times. However, looking back, she feels good about not giving in to the pressure of signing a project just because it came her way.
“Of course, it gets difficult to wait for something you really, really want. But right now, I feel so proud that I decided to wait,” she shared.
The actress also had a simple message for anyone struggling to make a similar decision. She believes it’s important to listen to your instincts, even when the wait gets frustrating.
“Listen to that little voice in your heart. Sometimes it gets difficult, but it’s totally worth it,” Shraddha said.
Shraddha Kapoor’s Upcoming Film Eetha
On October 30, Maddock Films and Kathputli Creations unveiled the grand trailer of Eetha, starring Shraddha Kapoor as Eetha Bai. An epic musical drama inspired by the life of a Lavani legend, the film brings to life the extraordinary journey of a woman who defied conventions, challenged the odds and rose above every obstacle to carve an unforgettable place in history.
The film is set to release in theatres on December 4, 2026.
