Parineeti Chopra and her husband, AAP MP Raghav Chadha, welcomed Indian women’s cricket captain Harmanpreet Kaur to their Mumbai residence over the weekend. The private gathering marked a celebratory moment
for the couple, who praised the cricketer’s recent achievements and her role in shaping women’s sports in India.
Parineeti posted photos from the meeting on December 20, 2025, offering a glimpse into the relaxed interaction. One frame showed the three seated together in the living room, smiling for the camera. Sharing one of the pictures on Instagram, Parineeti wrote, “Pleasure having you over at our place, champion @imharmanpreet_kaur. Your achievements, simplicity and humility inspire millions. Keep the Tricolor flying high!”
Harmanpreet’s visit followed India’s landmark ICC ODI Women’s World Cup win, where she led the team to victory against South Africa, sealing the match with a decisive catch in the final moments. Her calm leadership on the field and composed response under pressure have drawn admiration across the country.
The cricketer’s rising popularity has also seen her appear on mainstream television. She recently featured on Kaun Banega Crorepati with members of the national squad. During the episode, she recounted a childhood memory, saying, “The day I was born, my father was at his office, and the family sent him a message that my mother had been taken to the hospital”. She further shared how he purchased a t-shirt for her on his way, adding, “When I first wore those clothes, no one noticed. But after I played for India, a few years later, when we were shifting houses, my mother found them and said, ‘Let me show you the clothes you wore on your first day’. I saw a shirt with ‘Good Batting’ written on it.”
On the work front, Parineeti Chopra last appeared in Imtiaz Ali’s 2024 musical biopic Amar Singh Chamkila, co-starring Diljit Dosanjh.
