NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will close the re-extended registration window for Round 1 of NEET UG 2025 counselling today, August 6. Eligible candidates who have not
yet registered can apply on the official website, mcc.nic.in, by 3 pm.
As per the revised timeline, the facility to reset registration details will remain open until 12 noon, while the deadline to pay the counselling fee is 6 pm today. The choice filling option is available until 8 am on August 7.
However, a notification on the MCC website indicates that choice filling and locking for Round 1 have currently been put on hold. Candidates are advised to check their individual dashboards for the latest updates.
The seat allotment result for Round 1 is expected to be released on August 9. Candidates allotted seats will be required to report to their respective institutions between August 9 and 18.
Due to the extension in the Round 1 schedule, the timelines for subsequent counselling rounds, including Round 2, are likely to be revised. Originally, registrations for Round 2 were slated to begin on August 12. MCC has advised candidates to regularly check the official website for updated schedules and announcements.
MCC conducts NEET UG counselling for admission to:
15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS/BDS seats in government colleges
100% seats in AIIMS, JIPMER (Puducherry/Karaikal), AMU, and BHU
85% state quota seats of Delhi University, IP University (VMMC/ABVIMS/ESIC Dental)
100% seats in Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia (including 5% internal quota for Jamia students)
15% AIQ seats of ESIC colleges
Candidates are urged to complete the registration process within the stipulated time and stay updated with further announcements through the MCC portal.
