In another road rage case incident, a techie in Bengaluru rammed his car into a scooter as he got irritated by the continuous honking. The Bengaluru Police have arrested the software engineer for allegedly
attempting to murder the motorist after a quarrel at a traffic signal.
The incident, captured on a CCTV camera, took place on October 26 and was initially registered as a hit-and-run accident.
Vineth A, a businessman; his wife, Anikita Patel, a homemaker; and their son were on the scooter on the way to Indiranagar. After being hit by the car, the scooter can be seen crashing into the divider.
India’s frustration meter is off the charts. In Bangalore, one honk was all it took for a youth to explode into a full-blown road clash. How did we get here? Also, why so much of honking? Indian roads feel like nonstop concerts pic.twitter.com/bp0lFJri2G

The altercation began when the victim honked at the accused, Sukruth Keshav, for blocking a free left near Ramaiah College in North Bengaluru. Angered with the honking, Sukruth allegedly chased the vehicle and intentionally rammed his Tata Curve into it.
The CCTV footage confirmed that the collision was deliberate, the police said. Meanwhile, the case has been transferred from the Traffic Police Station to the Sadashivanagar Law and Order Police Station.
Police traced the accused using vehicle details and arrested him.
During questioning, Sukruth claimed that he was only trying to “scare” the motorist and did not intend to cause harm. However, investigators concluded it was a clear instance of violent and negligent behaviour on the road.
The police have seized the vehicle and further investigation is underway.
