The Gujarat Titans face the Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026 at the PCA Stadium in Mullanpur on Friday, with the final spot in the title clash on the line.
GT, who finished second in the league
stage, suffered a defeat to table-toppers Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first qualifier and will be eager for another shot at the holders. However, they must first overcome a resurgent RR side, which earned a commanding 45-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator to keep its bid alive for a showdown with the defending champions in the final.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
The young master has lit the IPL stage up in his first full campaign as the teenager holds the orange cap heading into the game and on the back of a riotous 97-run knock off 29 balls in the Eliminator. RR fans would hope the southpaw could help the side yet again, like he has done time and again this season, outplay the opposition in the powerplay overs.
Jofra Archer
The English seamer has led the line with his early strikes in RR’s ongoing campaign and was menacing against SRH in the previous outing. The pacer has the ability to rattle any line up and his contributions towards dismantling GT’s top-order could hold the key to a RR victory.
Dhruv Jurel
Jurel has been RR’s ‘go-to’ man this season and has played a steady knock whenever called up on to deliver. He has paced himself well, held anchor when required and accelerated when fit ask would look to play yet another consistent hand in the crucial q2.
Shubman Gill
GT’s dependance on their top-order can’t be overstated and the skipper, who has led the side from the from with solid consistency throughout the campaign will look to helm his side’s chance at redemption after being outplayed by RCB in q1.
Sai Sudharsan
The southpaw has been the most reliable name in the GT charts and has the ability to adapt to various pitch conditions. His composure in the middle would hold the side’s chances of moving into the final.
Jason Holder
The Windies pacer, who has amplified GT’s strength with the ball this season, would look to carry his strong showing from the first qualifier on. The seamer has been crucial in his side dismantling opposition batting order and would look to put his best foot forward yet again.
