Salman Khan may soon have a residential project named after him in Chandigarh, with three names reportedly registered for the proposed high-rise. According to a report in The Free Press Journal, an official
announcement about the project is expected to be made in Mumbai on Thursday.
What will Salman Khan’s Chandigarh project be called?
The three names reportedly registered for the project are SK Towers, The Salman Towers and Salman Khan Towers. The final name could be one of these or something similar, according to the report.
The development is also said to be much bigger than a regular residential tower. It may have modern amenities and could be planned more like a township or satellite town.
The project reportedly involves two real estate companies, one based locally and the other overseas. The official details, including the final name and the full scope of the development, are expected to be announced on Thursday in Mumbai.
Where does Salman Khan live in Mumbai?
Salman Khan has lived at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai, since 1974. The apartment has remained his family home for more than five decades and is one of the most recognisable celebrity addresses in the city.
There has been a recent update to his living arrangements. The Khan family has received clearance for a new six-storey sea-facing residential building at Chimbai in Bandra, a short distance from Galaxy Apartments. The property is in Salman’s mother Salma Khan’s name. However, reports have also pointed out that there is no official confirmation yet that Salman and his family will move out of Galaxy once the new home is ready.
What are Salman Khan’s last and upcoming films?
Salman Khan’s last theatrical release was Sikandar, which released in 2025. Salman’s next film is Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and starring Chitrangda Singh. The film was originally announced as Battle of Galwan before being given its current title.
The makers confirmed in July that Maatrubhumi is planned for a 2026 release, although an exact release date has not been announced. The film is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, with Salman playing Colonel Santosh Babu.
That apart, Salman Khan is also working on an untitled film directed by Vamshi Paidipally, with Nayanthara as the female lead. The project, produced by Dil Raju, is also referred to as SVC 63 and has been reported as a potential 2027 release.
