Paris Fashion Week is usually a good excuse for celebrities to leave sensible dressing at the hotel. And with the Indian fashion crowd making its way through the French capital, Huma Qureshi and Nora Fatehi
had their own style moments to add to the Parisian mix.
Huma was in town to attend the Gabriela Hearst show, and the brand dressed her for the occasion in a look that made a rather strong case for the humble trench coat. Nora, meanwhile, had her own Parisian fashion moment with Mugler, stepping out in a look that brought plenty of attitude along with it.
And honestly, both outfits deserve a closer look.
Huma Qureshi Gives The Trench Coat A Major Fashion-Week Moment
Huma’s Gabriela Hearst look starts with an olive-green trench that is far too good to be filed under “outerwear”. Cut with generous proportions, the coat features broad lapels, roomy sleeves and a long silhouette that gives it plenty of presence. Huma wears the sleeves pushed up, which takes some of the formality out of the tailoring, while the matching belt pulls the waist in and gives the oversized shape a little definition.
A black dress creates a clean base for the olive coat, allowing its colour and construction to do the work. The belt is tied at the front in a loose knot.
Huma keeps the accessories equally considered. She carries a small black top-handle bag and wears gold earrings with a slim bracelet. Her pointed black pumps feature delicate lace detailing, bringing a touch of femininity to the otherwise pared-back outfit.
Her hair falls in loose waves, swept over one shoulder, while the makeup stays warm and polished. Defined eyes, softly bronzed skin and a muted lip ties the whole look together.
Nora Fatehi Goes Full Mugler In Brown And Red
Nora Fatehi’s Mugler look takes a more commanding route. The chocolate-brown mini dress comes with pronounced shoulders, a high neckline and long sleeves, giving the short hemline a strong counterpoint. The structured shape feels unmistakably Mugler, while the rich brown shade keeps the outfit from veering into the predictable black-and-red combination.
The dress comes with its own belt detail across the lower waist, finished with a buckle that brings another sharp element into the silhouette. A flap pocket sits on the chest, adding a utilitarian note to the otherwise polished mini. She pairs it with sheer black tights, which extend the line of the outfit and keep the short hem looking sleek rather than overly exposed.
Then comes the red, and this is where Nora really has fun. She carries a glossy red handbag and wears matching pointed heels in the same lacquered finish. Against the chocolate brown of the dress, the colour looks richer and more deliberate.
Nora keeps the jewellery pared back, with gold earrings providing a small flash of shine. In one of the photographs, she adds oversized black sunglasses, giving the outfit an extra dose of old-school celebrity glamour. Her hair is pulled into a loose updo, with wispy bangs framing her face.
The makeup stays warm and defined, with sculpted cheeks, softly lined eyes and a glossy nude-brown lip.
Nora later shared photographs from Paris with the caption, “Never getting over this view,” tagging Christian Louboutin and Mugler. And with that Eiffel Tower backdrop, a Mugler mini and those glossy red heels, the sentiment is fairly easy to understand.
As Paris Fashion Week continues to serve up its usual parade of fashion risks and front-row glamour, Huma and Nora have both made their appearances count.
