wrapped up an intense 50-day shooting schedule in Mumbai and is now gearing up for its next phase. The upcoming schedule, slated to begin in October, will take place in Abu Dhabi and is expected to feature a grand action sequence. Deepika Padukone is also expected to join the shoot.
Mid-day has reported that the cast and crew are set to begin the second schedule in Abu Dhabi next month. The portal has quoted a source saying, “Atlee and Allu Arjun completed a marathon schedule, including a dance sequence, in Mumbai last month. The second schedule will be in October in the United Arab Emirates [UAE], where action scenes will be shot in the red dunes of the Liwa Oasis. Deepika Padukone is expected to join Atlee in this schedule,” adds the source, of the movie that also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ramya Krishnan.
Atlee Teases Fans With Location Scouting Update From Liwa Desert
Atlee, who has been making headlines ever since the announcement of his upcoming project AA22xA6, has shared an exciting update for fans. He took to Instagram stories today, revealing that he and his team are currently in Abu Dhabi’s picturesque Liwa Desert for location scouting. Taking to his Instagram stories, Atlee shared a photo in which Liwa is written and caption read, “#AA22X6 #Sunpictures #receetime.” As reported that Allu Arjun has shot a song sequence recently. According to 123 Telugu, the actor left for the shoot right after the rituals were finished. The portal mentioned that the unit respected his decision, as it saved time for the co-stars and crew. The reports also mention that the Pushpa actor pulled off some stunning dance moves for a song.
AA22×A6 To Release In 2027?
The film has already set the industry abuzz with its scale and ambition, and it is now making headlines for its potential release timeline. According to reports, the film is expected to hit theatres in 2027. The media portal 123 Telugu reported that the makers have decided that the film will hit the screens in August 2027. However, nothing has been made official till now. Fans are already super excited to see Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. It is also reported that she will soon start the shoot.
Allu Arjun To Play Multiple Roles In AA22 X A6
Reports suggest that the actor has a quadruple role in AA22 x A6. He will reportedly portray an entire generational lineage: a grandfather, a father and two sons. “It’s a first for him and a cinematic challenge few would dare attempt. He’s breathing life into an entire family tree,” a source told Bollywood Hungama. While Atlee was initially sceptical, it was Allu Arjun who himself insisted on playing all four roles, and then he decided to conduct look tests. “It wasn’t just working; it was elevating the film to another level. Viewers will get to witness four distinct shades of Allu Arjun in one film,” the source added.
Deepika Padukone’s Work Front
On the work front, Deepika most recently appeared in Rohit Shetty’s film Singham Again. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. It debuted in theatres last year.
