Krystle D’Souza is still soaking in the response she has received for her dance number, Shararat, from Dhurandhar, and the actor is overjoyed. This was the first time that Krystle performed a dance number in a film,
and her skills are being appreciated by many. Now, in a recent chat, the actress opened up about Shararat’s success.
Krystle said, as quoted by Hindustan Times, “The love has been overwhelming. Dance is something I enjoy, but I had never done a full-fledged dance number before, especially on such a large platform and for a film of this scale. It tested me as a performer.”
She added, “After spending several years in the industry, it becomes important to constantly challenge yourself and step out of your comfort zone. That’s when I felt this was something I should take up as an actor, even if it wasn’t much screen time, but I knew it would leave a mark.”
Krystle admitted, “There was, of course, a little anxiety — you suddenly find yourself doing a song in a big film — but the experience of shooting and performing was immensely enjoyable.” Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar became the biggest Indian movie of 2025. The movie has collected over Rs 1200 crore worldwide and has become the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time.
As per media reports, Tamannaah Bhatia was initially supposed to star in the Shararat song instead of Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza. In an interview with Free Press Journal, Krystle reacted to the claims and said, “Honestly, I mean, I did see it, and I felt like she would have killed it in her own way.”
“She would have owned it, and, you know, sometimes what’s written for whoever it’s written is what’ll happen. You can’t change anything like that. Approached or not approached, I’m sure she would have nailed it. Like, there’s no way that she wouldn’t kill it. And even if Ayesha was alone in the song, she would have killed it. If I was alone in the song, I would have killed it. Everyone would have done what they could do best,” the actress had said.
