celebrities alike. Amid ongoing speculation about Alia potentially joining the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, the film’s lead star, Prabhas, also gave a shoutout to the Alpha trailer, adding to the growing excitement surrounding the project.
Recently, Prabhas took to his Instagram Stories and shared the trailer of Alpha. He showered praise on Alia and the entire team ahead of the big release. His note read, “Alpha Trailer looks amazing and promising .. wishing the best to Alia, YRF and the entire team for July 3rd.” Alia was quick to repost his story. She wrote, “Thank you thank you so much,” followed by a sun emoji. In no time, her post grabbed everyone’s attention, with many fans speculating that she had seemingly confirmed her entry into the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. Have a look:
After Prabhas praised the Alpha trailer, fans began speculating that he may have subtly hinted at a future collaboration with Alia. On several occasions, Prabhas has expressed his desire to collaborate with both Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. Interestingly, during a rapid-fire round on Koffee With Karan, the actor picked Alia over Deepika when asked who he thought was the better actress. Speculation surrounding Alia’s casting in Kalki 2 has been gaining momentum for quite some time. Reports have also claimed that the actress recently completed a five-day shooting schedule in Hyderabad for the highly anticipated sequel. However, the makers have yet to officially confirm her inclusion in the film. Notably, if the reports turn out to be true, Alia will not be replacing Deepika Padukone but will instead portray an entirely new character.
