SBI CBO Recruitment 2026: The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited online applications for the post of Circle Based Officer (CBO). Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the bank’s official
website sbi.co.in. Through this recruitment drive, SBI aims to fill 2,050 vacancies across the country.
The online registration process began on January 29 and will remain open till February 18, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the application process within the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Circle Based Officer posts, candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government, including Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates with professional qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant are also eligible to apply.
The age limit for applicants is 21 to 30 years as on December 31, 2025. This means candidates must have been born between January 1, 1996, and December 31, 2004, both dates inclusive.
Selection Process
The selection process will include an online test, screening, and interview. The online test will have Objective Tests carrying 120 marks and a Descriptive Test of 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be conducted immediately after the Objective Test and candidates will be required to type their answers on the computer.
The Descriptive Test will be of 30 minutes duration and will assess English language skills through letter writing and essay questions. There will be no sectional qualifying marks, and the minimum qualifying marks in aggregate will be decided by the bank.

Application Fee
The application fee is Rs 750 for candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from paying the fee. The fee can be paid online using debit card, credit card, or internet banking. Any transaction charges applicable during online payment will have to be borne by the candidates.
