CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Result Out: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 result and scorecard. Candidates can check their results on the official website –
csirnet.nta.ac.in. The exam took place on December 18, 2025, in two shifts across 220 cities nationwide. A total of 212,552 candidates registered for this exam, with 154,080 actually appearing.
In the first shift, 90,434 candidates registered for Life Sciences, with 67,032 appearing. For Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, 8,093 registered, and 5,444 appeared.
In the second shift, 45,348 candidates applied for Chemical Sciences, with 32,957 appearing. In Mathematical Sciences, 26,114 out of 37,177 registered candidates took the exam, while in Physical Sciences, 22,533 appeared out of 31,500 registrations.
The CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for Assistant Professorship (Lectureship), and admission to PhD programmes. It is specifically for selecting candidates in the fields of science, engineering, and technology, covering subjects such as physical sciences, chemical sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences, and earth sciences.

Step 1 – To check the results, candidates must visit the website – csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2 – Click on the “CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Result/Score Card” link on the homepage.
Step 3 – Enter your application number and date of birth.
Step 4 – After submitting the security pin displayed on the screen, your scorecard will appear.
Step 5 – Candidates can download and save it for future reference.
Three Questions Dropped From Answer Key: The NTA released the provisional answer key on December 30, 2025, and objections were accepted until January 1, 2026. Following a review of the objections, the final answer key was issued on January 30, 2026, with three questions removed. The final result has now been declared based on these amendments.

E-certificates will be issued to successful candidates by the UGC and CSIR soon. Candidates who qualify for the JRF can apply for PhDs at various research institutes across the country. NET-qualified candidates will also be eligible for Assistant Professorships (lecturers) in universities and colleges.
