Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone to shoot a song for King
According to Variety India, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are set to begin filming a grand song sequence for King in Mumbai on October 26. The week-long shoot is expected to feature the film’s entire cast, with Vaibhavi Merchant choreographing the number. The update comes after earlier reports suggested that the song would be filmed in South Africa. The report also suggests that preparations are underway for the shoot. Interestingly, the song will mark Vaibhavi Merchant’s eighth collaboration with Shah Rukh. The choreographer previously worked with the superstar on several projects, most recently Jawan.
The highly anticipated film also features Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi, Rani Mukerji and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles. King is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone and her husband, Ranveer Singh, welcomed their second daughter on September 19, 2026. The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in November 2018, are already parents to their elder daughter, Dua, born on September 8, 2024. On October 20, the actors revealed their newborn’s name as Devi Padukone Singh, sharing a family photograph featuring both their daughters on social media. King will mark Deepika’s return to the movies after delivering her second child.
