Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was spotted at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital on Thursday after her mother, Sunanda Shetty, was admitted. The actress appeared visibly concerned as she walked into the hospital.
Paparazzo Viral Bhayani shared a video of Shilpa’s arrival at the hospital, captioning it, “#ShilpaShetty rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital, where her mother has been admitted. Get well soon auntyji (sic).”
The video quickly went viral, prompting fans to express concern and send messages of support. One user wrote, “Get well soon.” Another commented, “God bless her,” while a third said, “Prayers for Shilpa’s mom’s speedy recovery.”
As of now, neither Shilpa nor her family members have issued any official statement regarding Sunanda Shetty’s health condition.
Shilpa Shetty’s Legal Case Update
Sunanda Shetty’s hospitalisation comes just days after Shilpa withdrew her plea seeking permission to travel abroad. This followed the Bombay High Court’s decision not to stay a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against her and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, in connection with an alleged ₹60-crore cheating case.
On October 8, the Bombay High Court stated that their request to lift the LOC and allow travel abroad would only be considered if they paid the disputed ₹60 crore amount. The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) had earlier issued the LOC, leading the couple to seek temporary relief.
However, Shilpa’s counsel later informed the Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A. Ankhad, that the actress had decided not to pursue her travel plans for the time being.
Just days before the incident, Shilpa had shared glimpses of her Diwali celebrations with her sister Shamita Shetty and husband Raj Kundra. The family appeared cheerful and festive in the photos, dressed in traditional attire and surrounded by lights and décor.
On the professional front, Shilpa was last seen as a judge on Super Dancer Chapter 5, while Raj Kundra recently made his TV debut on the reality show The Traitors.
