Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal exchanged the vows last year in a civil ceremony under the Special Marriage Act. Since then, the couple has been constantly painting the town red with their mushy moments.
From pranking one another to respecting each other’s religion and culture, they have never missed any chance to serve pure goals for the lovebirds.
On Instagram, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who have been touring Switzerland, dropped a video with the hashtag “road trip goals”. In the heartwarming clip, while the actor was seen driving their car, Sinha continued recording their moment.
They were seen singing the iconic 90s song, Ho Gaya Hai Tujhko To Pyar Sajna, sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Udit Narayan, for the movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, starring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. Alongside the video, they radiated pure charm, which made a fan of theirs say, “Manifesting this type of bond.”

Respectful Interfaith Marriage
The couple never fail to win the hearts of their fans with their mushy moments. Even while embracing each other’s religion and culture, the duo has shown how to be respectful. In an old interview with Hauterrfly, Sonakshi once revealed, “We were not looking at religion. Here are two people in love with each other who want to get married, and were getting married. He is not enforcing his religion on me. I am not enforcing my religion on him.”
She added, “We never discussed anything about religion. We don’t sit and talk. We appreciate and understand each other’s cultures. They follow certain traditions at their home. I follow certain traditions at my house…. I respect them and their culture. They respect me and my entire family. That’s how it should be.”
Talking about their marriage, conducted under the Special Marriage Act, she shared, “The best way to get married was a Special Marriage Act where I, as a Hindu woman, do not need to change my religion and he as a Muslim man can remain a Muslim man. And two people in love share a beautiful bond of marriage so. It was as simple as that. There was never a question asked… Are you going to convert? We love each other. We are getting married”.
While Zaheer has appeared in films like Notebook, Double XL, and Ruslaan so far, Sinha was last seen in the movie titled Nikita Roy.
