A major transformation is on the horizon for Delhi’s roads and flyovers. The central government has approved a substantial fund of Rs 803 crore aimed at revamping 152 key roads and flyovers in the capital.
This project will see 330 kilometres of roads repaired, widened, and the construction of new flyovers.
New Makeover For The Capital’s Roads
As per The Indian Express, this work in Delhi will be carried out under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh announced that this project is not merely about road repairs but about providing world-class urban infrastructure to Delhi. Singh emphasised the importance of robust roads for the safety and convenience of millions of commuters, stating that roads are a city’s identity.
