After his marriage to Bollywood’s own Priyanka Chopra, singer Nick Jonas has been adopted by Indians all over as ‘Nick jiju’, a tag that he has gladly accepted. Even though his brothers, Joe and Kevin
Jonas, tease him about it, Nick has always loved the attention he gets from his Indian fans.
And his love for all things Indian is far wider than his wife Priyanka and the country. He has even adopted the culture, with his love for Indian music now acting as a pre-show ritual for his band before they take the stage during their world tour. Recently, Nick, Priyanka, Kevin and Joe shared a video of themselves grooving to an old Bollywood banger – Aap Jaisa Koi from the 1980 release Qurbani featuring Feroz Khan, Vinod Khanna, and Zeenat Aman.

And Priyanka Chopra recently gave fans a glimpse into her married life while appearing on The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4. She shared how Nick has tried some Indian wellness therapies like kadha and hajmola.
When Kapil asked Priyanka if she had introduced Nick Jonas to Indian spices, food habits, or traditional drinks, like fennel water, Priyanka said, “Not that one particularly, but the kadha we have when we get sick here, we always make that back at home.”
She added, “Nick has kadha and hot water no matter where he is. He knows that much.” Kapil jokingly said that Priyanka isn’t just passing Indian culture on to their children but is also turning her husband “half Indian”.

Priyanka Chopra also shared that, at her home in the US, she has a drawer full of treats she grew up loving. “So I have a drawee which has things like aampapad, Hajmola, sab chatar patar cheeze. Nick asked me what is in that drawer, and I told him, ‘Issey tum durr hi raho thoda; yeh tumhari samajh ki thodisi bahar hai.”
However, her deflecting the question made him more curious, and he was very eager to find out. Since he wanted to experience everything she enjoyed, Priyanka told Kapil, “Ekdin mei unko sab jaan na hai… toh maine khila diya Hajmola,” she recalled.
Revealing Nick Jonas’s response after tasting Hajmola, Priyanka said, “He is like, ‘Why does this smell like farts?'” which caused everyone in the audience of the talk show to start laughing.
