Koffee With Karan hasn’t even returned yet, and somehow, we are already talking about who might be sitting on that famous couch. Season 9 of Karan Johar’s chat show is expected to return around Diwali.
Ahead of that, an unverified guest list is currently doing the rounds on Reddit that is making fans go crazy. The names on the list range from Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and the Dil Chahta Hai gang to Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda and comedian Samay Raina.
To be clear, none of this has been officially confirmed. The list is reportedly from Reddit, and the makers have not announced the Season 9 lineup. Karan himself has only confirmed that the show is coming back around Diwali. In an interview with The Week, when asked about the next season, he simply said, “Diwali. Season 9.”
One of the biggest talking points from the alleged list is the possibility of Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Akshaye Khanna sharing the couch. Yes, that’s right. We can see a Dil Chahta Hai reunion if this really happens.
The alleged list also has Diljit Dosanjh and Vicky Kaushal as another possible pairing, while Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are reportedly expected to feature together.
If there is one pairing that could send social media into overdrive, it is probably Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. The two have been at the centre of relationship rumours for years, although neither has officially confirmed their relationship.
Then comes perhaps the most unexpected name on the list: Samay Raina. According to the rumoured list, he could appear with Farah Khan. Samay currently has his own show on Netflix titled India’s Got Latent Season 2.
The alleged list gets even more interesting when you look at some of the other combinations. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol and Jaya Bachchan are reportedly being considered for one episode. Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn could also appear together, while Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are said to be part of the lineup.
Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, who recently made noise with Saiyaara, are reportedly on the list as well. Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor could appear together, while Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya are also rumoured to share the couch.
For now, fans should take the entire list with a pinch of salt. The guest names originated from an unverified Reddit post. The makers have not confirmed the lineup, and there is no guarantee that these pairings will actually happen.
