On May 5, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, one of the most loved couples in town, were spotted attending the special screening of Daadi Ki Shaadi. The film features Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, alongside
Kapil Sharma and Sadia Khateeb. Interestingly, the film will mark his sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s acting debut. As the couple arrived to cheer for their family, Ranbir was seen losing his temper at the paparazzi.
A video of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt from the screening is going viral on the internet. In the video, they can be seen stepping out of their car when the paparazzi start crowding around them, trying to take pictures. The situation appeared to irritate Ranbir, who seemed to lose his cool momentarily and asked the paparazzi to step back. He can be heard saying, “Aap logon ko acha photo chaiyeh…Chalo” while asking them to move back.
For the special screening, Ranbir donned a polo t-shirt paired with loose trousers, while Alia opted for an all-black outfit featuring a structured shirt and wide-legged pants. She completed her look with small hoop earrings and a black shoulder bag. Have a look:
Soon after the video was shared online, netizens were seen reacting to it. Some were seen criticising the actor, while a section of people was seen defending him. One user wrote, “when paps try to make the celebs look “rude”, but themselves don’t understand the meaning of “boundaries”. He did the right thing.” Another user wrote, “The paparazzi need to maintain a certain distance from celebrities .. you cannot come too close or push your cameras in their face .. and most important just because you have a camera or mobile phone it doesn’t mean one can start clicking pictures .. ask for their permission and then click.”
One of the comments also read, “Haha.. they informed the paparazzi and then they are behaving like this! Wow!”
Meanwhile, Ranbir is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, Ramayana. He will be seen playing Lord Rama’s role. The film, also starring Sunny Deol, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, is slated to hit theatres on Diwali 2026. The actor also has Love & War with Alia and Vicky Kaushal, which is set for a January 2027 release.
