Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Krunal Pandya laid rest to rumours making the rounds on social media about a rift with brother Hardik Pandya, who leads the Mumbai Indians, with a single-word reply
during a rapid-fire round.
Krunal named young brother Hardik as one of the best finishers, alongside MI legend Keiron Pollard as the best finisher in the game.
Krunal played a crucial role in helping RCB claim their first ever title in the money-rich T20 franchise league last year out, while Hardik, who led GT to their crown in their first try four years ago, has had to endure a testing return to MI.
Krunal named RCB and WI icon Chris Gayle as the best batter, while calling Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni as the best skippers. He termed Virat Kohli’s cover drive as the best variant of the classy stroke, while adding Pollard as the best fielder.
Hes stuck to star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah as the his best seamer pick, while calling Rashid Khan and Sunil Narine the best spinners, after calling Lastih Malinga the best death-over bowler.
“The ultimate goal is to represent the country, and I don’t dwell too much on it. I want to keep doing what is in my control, which is to go out there and perform and win games,” Krunal said.
“And in that process, if I get that opportunity, I’ll be really glad because that’s the ultimate goal – playing for the country,” he added.
“And yes, whatever opportunity I got playing for the country in white-ball cricket, I did a pretty decent job at that time. It’s just that I want to do my thing, and the rest I leave to God,” he said.
