India might have failed collectively as a batting unit in the first T20I against South Africa, but some players made sure to give the Barabati Stadium crowd the entertainment they came for on Tuesday (December
9). Tilak Varma, for instance, sent a ball searing outside the ground in the 10th over.
It happened on the third ball of the over, bowled by express quick Anrich Nortje. The ball was on a hard length and bounced around Tilak’s waist height — the left-hander met it by crouching a bit and swiping it hard to deep square leg. The ball flew around 90 metres and outside the ground.
A brief search was conducted, but to no avail, and a new ball was required. Watch the huge six here:
