Varun Dhawan is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Border 2. Ahead of its release, the actor interacted with fans during a Q&A session on X. During the exchange, Varun responded to a user who urged
him not to make “pathetic movies” like Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, his most recent release, in which he starred opposite Janhvi Kapoor.
Replying to his #Varunsays session, a person wrote, “Bhai aren’t you serious Abt your comeback? Stop doing pathetic movies like SSKTK in the name of versatility.” To this, Varun replied, “Chalo film phir bhi chal gaye thodi. Chalo film phir bhi chal gaye thodi. App theatre jata rehna mein #border 2 might surprise u since ur taste is amazing #varunsays.”

Varun Dhawan Fans Support His Rom Com Movies
Other fans, however, came to the defence, calling Varun Dhawan’s movies enjoyable watch. Some suggested that Dhawan return to darker, performance-driven films such as Badlapur or October. A user wrote, “But SSKTK was a nice movie. I watched it on Netflix. Rom-coms suit you the best—never stop doing them. Why move out of your comfort zone if it’s giving you decent results?” Another tweet read, “SSTK was a good picture, I enjoyed it.” Meanwhile, a different user commented, “Do something like Badlapur and October. You have immense talent.” Not all feedback was positive, with one X user remarking, “That movie had literally nothing new to offer. It had all the rom-com cliché tropes.”
