It isn’t just the new rendition of the iconic ‘90s song, Saat Samundar Paar, that seems to have left audiences divided about Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s new release, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
Now, another clip from the film, directed by Sameer Vidwans, has surfaced online, sparking fresh chatter, and once again, audiences are far from impressed.
In the clip from the film, which hit the theatres on December 25, the lead duo, Kartik and Ananya, were seen dancing to Saajanji Ghar Aaye, the song originally picturised on Salman Khan and Kajol in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The video showed the actor making his entry at a celebratory occasion, dressed in a black sequinned outfit, with the song playing in the background.
Ananya Panday Also Joined Kartik Aaryan On The Dance Floor
He shook his leg with a few background dancers before Ananya entered the scene and joined him on the dance floor. The duo was seen grooving to the classic track together. Despite their attempt to keep things similar to the original version, Kartik and Ananya’s version did not quite impress the audience and left them divided. People began comparing the new version with the original and shared that the rendition lacked the effortless charm and screen presence that Salman brought.

Internet Compare Kartik Aaryan’s Dance To Salman Khan’s
“Nobody can be the iconic Salman sir….the vibes,” said one user.
Another person quipped, “Bollywood and its obsession with cheap copy, please bring some originality.”
“Kartik kia hogaya tumhey iss song ko bhi remake, btw no one can match Salman bhai,” someone else mentioned.
“Not a fan of Kartik, but why people target these actors ….the director, script writers are the ones to blame first, not the actors …..they do what the director says,” a different individual pointed out.
Meanwhile, one person shared that it was not a remake of the original one, but just a scene where the lead actors were dancing to the song at a wedding, writing, “It’s not a remake of the song, it’s a Sangeet session at a shaadi, at Sangeet it is customary to play old popular songs.”
“Internet just loves to hate bhai coz what do you mean they literally slayeddddd there’s nothing to hate they didn’t ruin by remakes or something they just performed so good and how,” one person added.
According to Sacnilk, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri grossed Rs 7.25 crore at the domestic box office on its opening day.
