The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a special
Char Dham Tour Package for devotees and travellers alike.
This 17-day spiritual journey begins on 5 September and covers four of India’s most revered pilgrimage sites – Badrinath in the North, Puri Jagannath in the East, Rameswaram in the South, and Dwarka in the West.
The tour is conducted on the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free experience.
As per The Daily Jagaran, this initiative also supports the government’s ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ and ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ campaigns to boost domestic tourism.
How Much Does the Tour Cost?
Passengers can choose from multiple classes:
- 3AC – Rs 1,26,980
- 2AC – Rs 1,48,885
- 1AC Cabin – Rs 1,77,640
- 1AC Coupe – Rs 1,92,025
The package includes rail travel, AC hotel accommodation, vegetarian meals, sightseeing in AC vehicles, travel insurance, and the services of a tour manager.
How Can You Book?
Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis via the official website. Passengers can board from Delhi Safdarjung, Ghaziabad, Meerut City, and Muzaffarnagar.
Which Temples Will You Visit?
The 17-day journey, starting on September 5, takes passengers across India on the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. The itinerary covers:
- North: Badrinath and Joshimath, including Badrinath Temple, Mana Village, Ram Jhula, and Triveni Ghat.
- East: Varanasi, with a visit to the iconic Kashi Vishwanath Temple and its corridor.
- East & Coast: Puri, featuring Jagannath Temple, Puri Beach, Konark Sun Temple, and Chandrabhaga Beach.
- South & West: Rameswaram’s Ramanathaswamy Temple, Dhanushkodi, Pune’s Bhimashankar Temple, Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, Dwarka’s Dwarkadhish Temple, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, and Bet Dwarka.
The train will return to Delhi on the 17th day.
