Ending 2025 on a romantic note, Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday reunite on screen as Ray and Rumi in Sameer Vidwans’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The rom-com finally has a release date and is
set for a theatrical release on 31 December 2025.
Kartik Aaryan plays Ray, bringing his familiar mix of charm and depth to the role. Ananya Panday stars opposite him as Rumi, adding a fresh take on modern romance. Their pairing, already seen in glimpses from the film, has built curiosity among fans.
Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram with a fun picture of himself and Ananya Panday dancing on a bar counter from the shoot of the film. Sharing the post, Kartik announced that the film will hit theatres on December 31, 2025, with the caption, “Your last day of the year is with us… The year ends but Love Begins.” The candid shot of the duo grooving together has added to the buzz around the film, which pairs them as Ray and Rumi in a New Year’s Eve release.
Directed by National Award-winner Sameer Vidwans, the film promises a simple, heartfelt story set against a visually engaging backdrop. Produced by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, the project is backed by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora and Bhumika Tewari.
Releasing on New Year’s Eve, the film aims to offer audiences a light-hearted love story to close out 2025 and step into 2026 with warmth.
Kartik first collaborated in the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, where their on-screen pairing garnered significant attention. Their camaraderie was evident during promotional events and interviews, leading fans and media to speculate about a possible off-screen romance. In 2022, during an appearance on Koffee with Karan, host Karan Johar hinted at their rumoured relationship. Ananya’s mother, Bhavana Panday, was also asked about her daughter’s on-screen pairings, to which she responded that Ananya and Kartik looked the best together.
